The Value of LEED | Follow the LEED | Global Greening

CBRE Investors - Strategic Partners has made a portfolio-wide decision to pursue LEED certification for its properties. Not only is it the right thing to do in conserving our natural resources and maintaining a competitive edge in the market, but it’s the right thing to do for our tenants.

Tenants in all markets increasingly gravitate to LEED-certified buildings. Major corporate tenants seek greener facilities to attract and retain employees, differentiate their products, improve their image, and satisfy stakeholder demands.

Once achieved, LEED Certification can offer tenants:

  • Reduced operating costs
  • Improved indoor air quality
  • Enhanced employee comfort, health and productivity

LEED-certified buildings save tenants money by using less energy than do non-certified buildings. How much less?

  • LEED Certified buildings -- 26% less
  • LEED Silver buildings -- 32% less
  • LEED Gold-Platinum buildings -- 44% less

The LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System® is administered by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and emphasizes state-of-the-art strategies for sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
